The Maproom

Dwarf Star is an all new multiplayer map for Mercs that takes you to a cold dark moon orbiting the remains of a long dead star. Naturally the map is home to a Secret Weapons Facility which lies amid rolling dunes and craggy peaks. It is primarily a long-range map, but 150% heatsink efficiency and varied terrain allow players some alternative configs. ECM and BAP work unusually well.

The map defaults to Night to enhance some lighting effects, but a light source has been added so visibility is very good, clear to 1000 meters, with default settings. And although Dwarf Star is a large map like Timberline or Sand Dunes, it weighs in at only 5 MB, making it a fast download, even on a 56k modem!

Dwarf Star should offer players some fast paced battle strategy in a lunar setting that is unlike any of MechWarrior 4's stock lunar terrains. Supports Battle, Team Battle, Destruction, Team Destruction, CTF, King of the Hill, and TKotH, and is compatible with all current versions of Mercenaries.
